How it works

This view shows how a genome is reorganized through sequential inversions. Each segment is color-coded and labeled with its original position.

Arrows indicate orientation:
→ = Original orientation (forward)
← = Inverted orientation (reverse complement)

As inversions occur, segments are flipped in place and their orientation changes. Nested inversions can flip segments back to their original orientation.
